Holt Bradfield Deniger, founder of Bradfield Piano, began his career at Steinway Hall in Dallas where he worked as a Steinway piano technician and trained for nearly a decade. Holt completed all of the factory training courses at the Steinway & Sons facility in Long Island City, New York. His work at Steinway Hall included rebuilding work, action regulation, tuning, and finishing touch up on customer and showroom pianos. Today Bradfield Piano is widely known for using authentic rebuilding practices learned from his time at Steinway.
The training was completed at the C.F. Theodore Steinway Academy located within the Steinway & Sons factory in Long Island City, New York. Portions of this training were completed while Holt was still working at Steinway Hall, with additional sessions attended after founding Bradfield Piano as part of continuing technical development.

CONCERT TECHNICIAN INFLUENCE
Holt at Steinway Hall with Steinway concert technician Franz Mohr
Franz Mohrserved as Steinway & Sons’ chief concert technician and prepared pianos for many of the world’s leading concert artists including Glenn Gould, Vladimir Horowitz, Sviatoslav Richter, and Artur Rubinstein. During Holt’s time working at Steinway Hall he had the opportunity to meet and spend time around Franz and other technicians operating at the highest level of concert preparation. That environment and service philosophy shaped the standards used at Bradfield Piano today.
